ok so my mother in law is cutting my hair today and IDK what kind of hair style I want. My hair is already short... like barely laying on my shoulders... but my shortest layer is like probably at the bottom of my nose... if you can picture that length... I have LOTS of layers. well IDK what to get done today... I have a round face and its kinda chubby like Jennifer Hudson... Any ideas????Short Hair cut for round face help?
all short hair would be very bad. if you have round face then it would be better to keep short hair at the back and little more on top.

But as you can see, my face is a little fatter. I'm not a fat person, but if you could give me your advice on these hair cuts for me, I'd be forever greatful!

Try to condition ur hair alot. it might not do too much but u can try.
You cannot change the texture of your hair, you can use products to calm it and make it feel smooth, and have a cut that outs layers in to give it less weight..your hairdresser can advise

I am a hairdresser and hairstylist that works at a Francesco salon.
In my own opinion of what i have done in the past, i would have kinda of short hair, enough to straighten, and then straighten it upwards on the top and then spike the back widely so it's spread out at the back (the spikes) and then at the top spike it widely again so that it spreads out and goes with the back of the hair, and then whilst bring the fringe down and to the left side of your forehead (not completely, but so it's still going down your head but more the left)
To do this, use wax (straighten the hair first, and then apply the wax for the spikes and style). A good wax to use is Peppermint Pep or Bouncy Dip, or to make it shiny at the same time as working well... Silk Fibers wax. These can all be purchased at a Francesco salon.

It really all depends on you, but I would suggest not getting a haircut above your chin. Anything higher is going to accentuate if you are (as you say) slightly chubby. I don't know what you look like, so I can't say for sure... But ';if you are'; then try a hair cut that is right above the shoulder with lots of layers, this way it seems shorter than it is, yet it doesn't make your face look too big. I have shoulder length, boring, no personality hair right now. My hair is medium thickness. I was attempting to let it grow out, but have become quite bored with it and need a change. I want something exciting that isn't too short. I was thinking bangs? What is in these days? What you can do is look in all fashion magazines (not gossip...) as in Elle, Vogue, ZooZoom, Hilary, Lucire etc... and look at the models hair styles. There you can see lots of different short styles - some of them are way in to punk, some are more classic and some are very natural....
There are also a lot of styles that are so wonderful that you can wear them in different ways in different occasions; punk, classic and natural - you choose!
One idea is to keep your natural color - that is a bit ';calm'; looking in your parents eyes (if that is a worry for you), but you can also gloss it up with glitter spray, glossy glimmery wax or gel.... Also, by keeping your own color, you are also taking a whole lot better care of your hair....
Have fun while looking at different styles from the biggest internation fashion plat forms!
I have a mid-length hair cut atm, it's one of those bobs but I scrunch it up when I blow-dry it so that it looks all puffy and non-bob-ish. You could do that for something different. My hair's really layered as well, it's thinner than most bobs, giving it me the flexibility to toy around with it easier without it being all weighed down by wax and spray. why dont you get it really short at the back and then longer at the front kinnda like rhianas in the umbrella video? and the have thefront bangs and let the slope down so that they get longer at the sides this will look very niceand stylish!

right now my hair is 3 inches down from my shoulders and a little wavy. I really wanna chop it all off for some reason. I want drastic change. I have long bangs and they drape down to highlight my collarbone and protect my face from the sun (at least on the sides), plus it hides the gray at my temples...
The back is short and interesting layers. It dries in 3 mins with a blowdrier in the morning (I spray some thickening spray to fluff up the crown part)...and all my friends say I look very ';together'; and sophistocated...like I spent a lot of time on my hair...and professional.

Be sure to check out locksoflove dot com to donate your hair for wigs for children undergoing chemo treatments. You just ponytail it, send it in a plastic bag with the print-out.

Not usually. Short hair on a chubby face make sthe face look fatter than it is. Longer hair or several different lengths is probably best. From the view of a teen girl, I'd suggest letting it grow a little. The rugged 2/3 inch look is easy and doesnt need styling all the time, and is easy to style if you so wish. Personally i am a little bias, longer hair does it for me lol, but short works best for some people too. From my guy friends I have gathered that if you want to be able to style it, really short hair can be a problem. Being a girl, I cant really offer more than an appearance based opinion though XD

I made the tragic mistake of trying to grow out my relaxer a few months back and I plan on getting it back in the next couple of months as my hair starts to grow back out. But, until then, I have kinky twists. I'm thinking of getting a pixie cut or something with a side swept bang (I have a big forehead and bangs make me feel not so self-conscious about it) but I don't know if it'll look good with my face shape. I had a chin length asymmetrical bob before and it was all wrong for me and made my face look super round and I'm not looking for a repeat of that.

ok, so i am doing ';Locks of Love'; and im getting my hair cut in between my shoulders and chin. right, ok so i just wanted to know, for people who have had this short of hair, does it need like a TON of styling? i dont have time for a lot of styling just, like a blow dry, and mouse! i have side bangs, layered hair, and lenght in between shoulder and chin! what kind of styling would i need if it did need some??Short hair cuts...?
It will be faster to style because it will dry more quickly then long hair, especially if it's layered. The only drawback is the hairdresser might cut some of the layers too short for a pony tail, so you can't just pull it all back when your hair isn't doing what you want it to.

so what should I tell my stylist? I am a little punky so i can pull off some weird stuff (mohawks, etc). does anyone know of any pictures of cool short cuts? just put a link etc. should I go to a stylist instead of supercuts?? i really can't afford anything expensive.Short hair cuts?
Iagree with pretty it's called the bob.. short from the back and longer from the top just make sure they do the angles very sharp and even. Then u can dye your hair with a cool color with an inexpensive hair dye and that's it! Just remember to give it some volume when u blowdry it.

(I'm 21 - in college and working so it couldn't be toooooo out there) the back of my hair was about chin legnth and the front was slightly longer...so if you looked at the side of my head, you could see the diagonal cut. It looks very modern/punky and works well on most anyone with short hair. Just ask your stylist to use a razor to make the ends look jagged and make sure that there are layers. But not too many.

Do not cut your hair too short....you do have a full/round face and a very pretty one at that, but try to keep the length by trying ';wispy'; layering....that should remove the ';dead'; ends..Good luck!

My GF had long hair just like you last spring. She decided to try shorter in stages. In may she had about 4 inches cut off and bangs. Then in july she had it cut again like another 4 inches. Again in September she went back and tried layers and just a little long than shoulder lengths. She had a hard time styling it and went back again and got like a shag cut just above her shoulders. Didn't really like that and then got a pixie in December. I liked her in long ahir, but to be honest with you, I like the pixie much better and so does she. You might consider going shorter in stages until you decide what you like.
