16 year old guy - thinking about getting a shorter hair cut?

I have a medium hair cut:

But I'm thinking about going shorter. Not military cut, but something like a scruffy/short look like what Ryan Goslings got:

Would something like this work for me? I haven;t gelled my hair in like four years. Would it be hard to style this type of cut? I assume it would look good down too. I guess I have my options. What do you think?16 year old guy - thinking about getting a shorter hair cut?

From the view of a teen girl, I'd suggest letting it grow a little. The rugged 2/3 inch look is easy and doesnt need styling all the time, and is easy to style if you so wish. Personally i am a little bias, longer hair does it for me lol, but short works best for some people too. From my guy friends I have gathered that if you want to be able to style it, really short hair can be a problem. Being a girl, I cant really offer more than an appearance based opinion though XD
Welll, i would say grow it out like not TO far but ya kno lik long 4 a dude. If ya REALLY wanna go short u should basiclly almost shave it off but not ttly. DONT GO IN BETWEEN. GROSS GROSS GROSS!
