Short hair cut tips?

I just had my hair cut short *close to men's cut* yestrday and wondering what's the best tips to take best care of it. What would be the best tips for a person who's new to the short hair?

That's why you get it cut short in the first place I thought, so that you don't have to fuss with it that much. Shampoo and condition.
Ive never really had short hair, but I do know that you should constantly brush it. My teacher has short hair too. And If it's short enough, spike it. But maybe have it thin spikes.
Pointed tip cuz it gives you a rocker look and it still looks cute as i gets longer .
