i have a friend that brushes his hair 24/7 and we always tell him it's going to fall out. is that really true? can it really happen?
can you also try and show like a website that proves it?Do you think that brushing hair can cause you to loose hair?
OCD?Do you think that brushing hair can cause you to loose hair?
When you brush your hair, hairs that are dead or loose will fall out naturally, but if you brush your hair a lot, it can damage the roots which will cause it to fall out. Honestly, I can't find a website to prove it, but it is just common sense that it will damage the roots. Damaged roots causes anything to be damaged. Think about a tree. If you cut it's main roots the tree will die. Your hair is very similar in the fact that if you damage the roots the hair will die and thus fall out. Unfortunately you can't stop him if he doesn't want to stop, even after that. When he ends up bald he'll stop and realize you were right. Hopefully you can convince him before it gets to that. Good luck!
If you talking about will he literally loose hair by brushing then yeah of course he will. He is brushing it to get the knots out and that's going to cause breakages which will lead to you hair obviously falling out but if you talking about long term i would guess it depends. If you are ripping root and all out i would think that would decrease your hair because its just like waxing your legs. The whole point is to get rid of the hair and keep it from growing back. But if he isn't ripping it out by the roots it might even make it thinker like in shaving lol weird metaphor but it makes sense in a sense
6. Over-brushing - Think 100 strokes a day will make your hair shiny and full? Think again.
';Over-brushing your hair can cause split ends and breakage, with the over-brushing causing just too much consistent friction for hair to handle,'; Mirmirani says.
Cheap brushes don't help either, causing snags and tangles that are hard to get out and resulting in broken hair and split ends.

Everyone loses some hair when they brush their hair. If your friend is brushing his hair ';24/7'; (how does he go to school or hold down a job), I would imagine he's probably losing a lot. Too much brushing could damage his hair follicles and affect how quickly hair grows back. Just tell him to check his hairbrush each time.
Excessive brushing in and of itself won't make your hair fall out, unless you already have some condition that causes hair loss or makes the strands weak and susceptible to breakage.
BRUSHING THE HAIR STIMULATES THE BLOOD FLOW.......THAT WHAT MAKES YOUR HAIR GROW! 200-300 STRANDS MUST SHED DAILY BELIEVE IT OR NOT! ITS NATURAL. IM A HAIRSTYLIST OF 15 YEARS. TRUST ME I KNOW!
No, it cant, Your hair is always falling out, and brushing it gets its out faster, instead of just sitting there.
I dont have proof but I can see this to be likely because you lose a few strands everytime you brush your hair. Do this enough and you will suffer a significant amount of hair loss!!
i dont know if it like causes it to fall out but it definitely will help him lose alot if he brushes too much
i dont think so. because when ur hair comes out into the brush ur hair grows.
fashoo
and why cant you google it yerselffff
depends on if hes using a brush or a comb.
but this site has a TON of info..
I wouldnt think so..
