I am just curious about this. I've been wondering about this for a while.How long can head lice stay alive on my pillow, brush, hair bands... etc?
When I got head lice. I put my hair brushes and things like that I used in my hair in very hot water for a while and stuffed animals go in trash bags for 2 to 3 weeks. Make sure you get all the air out of bags before closing them. Wash the pillows a couple of times. Do lice shampoo and also have someone go through your hair and pick out all the eggs in there. the most common place to find eggs on your head is the back of your neck and behide your ears. because it get moist there. But, still go through every piece of hair. in sections. It sucks....How long can head lice stay alive on my pillow, brush, hair bands... etc?

Their eggs can stay dormant for about a month or more. Lice themselves cannot live very long if they aren't actually on you.
