Are police officers obligated to be shaved and have a short hair cut?

Military man have to shave and also have to get a short hair cut. Do police officers have the same obligation, short hair and shaved? Are police officers obligated to be shaved and have a short hair cut?
That depends on department policy. Some do have that requirement although it's less common today. Are police officers obligated to be shaved and have a short hair cut?
In Canada, a uniformed Police officer may have a full beard, provided that he has it trimmed and it is neat. Hair must be off the collar, and not more than 2 inches long at any point.

Female officers must have their hair secured in a bun , and or cut to the same regulation as males.

Religious Sikhs are not required to cut their hair , as long as it is covered by a turban, and their beards must be rolled and secured with a chin net.

Jim B. Toronto.
Depends on the policy of the department. Most departments require Off the collar and above the ears, clean, and well maintained. I am not aware of any departments that require it shaved.

Undercover officers are a different story, they may be required to grow out Their hair as well as not shave.
It usually depends on the departments policy. although, when I was an officer, I tried to stay neat with no beard and a neatly trimmed moustache and nice hair cut because of my appearance to the public. I wanted the department, as a representative of the city, to have a good name.
I have seen some police officers with mustaches, not sure about beards though. As for hair length, I think that in some cases if you are going to work undercover you can grow it long if you want to. Same for a beard.
They should be clean cut unless they are undercover like detectives or Auto theft. Mustaches are okay but I am not sure about beards.
Not always. If the officer is working under cover, like buying drugs, he better look extremely grubby.
