No, short hair would look really ... odd. I don't think many women look good with short hair, so that's a bias opinion.

i think you should get a short, chocolate brown bob.
I think you should do a bob, with longer hair in front and shorter in back.. And maybe just get some lowlights for the underneath and highlights for the top.. just a thought, I think it would fit you well!
just trim a few inches; your hair looks great long so u dont want to get it cut too short
im thinking a katie holmes haircut would look great on you! i would advise you not to cut too drastic. no pixie cuts! also i think your color is great, maybe a few lighter brown highlights to add in just to give you that little extra something, or you could stay your color now. Good luck!

Personally I think you would great in a shorter hairstyle. I recommend a short side parted pixie. It is a bold haircut that shows your self confidence ans sense of style. Short hair is really in so if you have ever considered a really short haircut now is the time. If you are nervous taking the plunge, do it in stages. Have it cut shoulder length with layers and bangs. Then in a month or so have it cut above the shoulder with lots of layers. If you like the shorter look then go for the pixie.
try a lighter brown as far as highlights and see how you like it if you dont want to get to drastic, if you want to be drastic try something more vibrant. As far as cut I actually dont know, a lot of ppl look great with bobs but you would more than likely look great with a layered style but not to short, i dont see you looking great with short hair, maybe an inch shorter.
i would ask you why u want to go short? there are many short styles that would look good on your cute face.if you want to do it do it .it is a very freeing experience.

As for dying it, you should stick to darker shades. It's very pretty with your eyes and skin color.
