Would a short hair cut look good on me? (description included)?

I am 18 and have always wanted to get my hair cut very short. I love how shags look on people and those haircuts where they start short in the back and get longer in the front, but I don't know if a short hair cut would suit me.


I've gotten my hair cut medium length and I've hated it. I look horrible, but that was a while back and it wasn't styled, plus I didn't wear makeup then.





I have very thick, dirty-blond hair and an oval face. I am thin/average weight but my cheeks are round-ish. I have blue eyes and am fairly pale. I don't wear glasses. I am not ugly, but I don't have one of those beautiful, thin faces either. My looks are probably about average.
