Does brushing hair when wet cause split ends?

i heard this somewhere on here %26amp; wanted to know whether it was true or not? if it is true, then do u just wait for hair to dry and brush it when its dry???Does brushing hair when wet cause split ends?
It doesn't necessarily cause split ends, but because your hair is wet when you brush it, it stretches it and it can snap and break off very easily.


Instead of brushing it, when your hair is wet run your fingers through it first to get out and knots or tangles, and then comb it using a wide toothed comb :)Does brushing hair when wet cause split ends?

if you dont want split ends then you just wait for it to dry on its own or if you want your hair turned in or out then


brush straight and turn it in/out the way you like it and wait for it to dry
I'm not sure about causing split ends but it is bad for your hair to brush it while wet and is more likely for your hair to break


you should comb it when its wet with a wide toothed comb like an afro comb :)
Your hair is more delicate when wet so if you try to brush out knots when it's wet it could cause your hair to break and split ends.
